After a few individual experiments with various fermented beverages (ciders, fruit wines, etc.), we moved on to beer making. That’s how we started brewing small batches (20 liters) in a garage on Rue de la Clochette in Saint-Mard. Then we went to the next level by brewing 200, and later 1,000 liters, using the facilities of a local brewery.

The first beer was brewed in 2012, and by the end of 2013 we began selling our first product: La Clochette Ambrée.

January 2012: Purchase of the brewing kit and small 20-liter batches

September 2013: Company is founded

January 2016: Start of the construction work in Étalle

May 2016: Arrival of the equipment (brewing tanks and two fermenters)

June 2016: Completion of construction and installation of equipment

In memory of our origins, we gave our brewery the name of the street where we brewed our first batches.

After three years of brewing using other breweries’ equipment, we decided to take the plunge and make our dream come true: to have our own brewing setup.

At the same time, we were taking the “microbrewery” training course at IFAPME.

These years of brewing on the move culminated on July 30, 2016, with our first batch brewed entirely in Etalle.

It was therefore in Étalle that we decided to install our tanks, in « Rue de Virton ». It was in these same premises that Omer Dejardin, a prominent figure from Etalle, had established a local cooperative dairy.

After a few months spent preparing the premises, we installed our equipment.

The brewing equipment (brand new) comes from Italy. As for our tanks, we bought them second-hand from a craft brewery in Perpignan’s area.​

With this equipment, we can brew 2 × 500 liters in a single day to fill a 10 hl (useful capacity) tank.​

Brewing one batch per month will allow us to reach our annual production target.
